New Life, Fresh Start

Since 2015 I really wanted to start sharing my journey as a born again Christian through writing and testifying about this new live and love.

I can safely say that I'm finally taking baby steps and braving the waves!!!

On 23 November 2015 I gave my heart to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as My Lord and Savior. Life as I knew it changed drastically and immediately for the better.  I can proudly say that I am a child of the Most High God.

In short I can testify that it took a disappointment in order for me to surrender and submit to God. I remember that soon after I started my journey in Christ, I thought to myself why didn't anyone tell me about this TRUTH!!! I felt that everyone should know what I have discovered, because life without Jesus Christ, is living with the lights off.

Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!” John 14:6‭-‬7 MSG http://bible.com/97/jhn.14.6-7.MSG

I realised that I had met individuals in my life that were different and even a bit strange... This is how I viewed those who diligently followed Christ not totally judging them but their way of doing things was almost unorthodox, not the norm. But, ultimately they knew and understood a TRUTH that was not known to me.  Don't get me wrong, I was raised in a Christian home with Christian values and believes. My parents went to church and we prayed as a family - same as many other good Christian families.

However, one can attend church every Sunday and live a peaceful life or the opposite... ones life may not reflect Christ-like behaviour despite being in church every Sunday.

A relationship with Jesus Christ has nothing to do with our perfect church attendance record, but everything to do with our hearts which He is able to see. I believe when we truly surrender our hearts to Him, He takes up residence and He then reveals a love that the human mind is almost unable to understand. He bless us with the supernatural Spirit of God which is part of God's perfect plan for us to be one with Him.

In November 2015, during this difficult time in my life I read the book, the Kingdom of God by Dr Bill Winston and for the first time I gained a new perspective.  Within the same space of time, I met with a medical doctor, who is a fierce disciple of Jesus Christ.  I went to see him as a patient, we talked and he started confirming the book I was reading.  He discerned my need for the Lord and asked if he may pray.  That was the moment I realized that all the prior events  led up to that moment.  Within the same week I requested that we pray again and the Lord made known to me my calling as His beloved daughter.

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. JOHN 3:16 AMP http://bible.com/1588/jhn.3.16.AMP

After receiving Christ in my heart and life, I realize that His truth is available to all who is willing to receive Him. I usually refer to the Word of God as the "best open secret"... because we have access to the bible which is the Word of God but without accepting Jesus Christ, (Who is the Word of God) as Our Lord and Savior, His Spirit is unable to establish this truth within us.

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor--Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever-- the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you. JOHN 14:16‭-‬17 AMP http://bible.com/1588/jhn.14.16-17.AMP

So what it comes down to is, when we surrender to Jesus Christ the road we walk change as we learn the Truth and we realize that the 'best open secret' is alive within us. This is the judgement [that is, the cause for indictment, the test by which people are judged, the basis for the sentence]: the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For every wrongdoer hates the Light, and does not come to the Light [but shrinks from it] for fear that his [sinful, worthless] activities will be exposed and condemned. But whoever practises truth [and does what is right--morally, ethically, spiritually] comes to the Light, so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are--accomplished in God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence on Him].” JOHN 3:19‭-‬21 AMP http://bible.com/1588/jhn.3.19-21.AMP

Yes, the things that keeps us from having a relationship with Jesus Christ needs to be assessed and weighed. But, if you have not yet pursued a life in Christ you really do not understand what you are measuring or weighing.

Jesus Christ has no rival and no equal.
When we read and hear about the Lord's crucifixion, it is not a matter of 'poor thing, He died for what He believed in...' But rather He laid down His life for us so that we may have life. In doing so He gave us the switch to turn on the lights.

No one takes it away from Me, but I lay it down voluntarily.  I am authorized and have power to lay it down and to give it up, and I am authorized and have power to take it back. This command I have received from My Father.” JOHN 10:18 AMP
http://bible.com/1588/jhn.10.18.AMP

By this we know [and have come to understand the depth and essence of His precious] love: that He [willingly] laid down His life for us [because He loved us]. And we ought to lay down our lives for the believers. 1 JOHN 3:16 AMP http://bible.com/1588/1jn.3.16.AMP

So when we follow Jesus Christ, we should be willing to lay down the senseless things that is keeping us from having a relationship with Jesus Christ. The song of Psalmist Raine, Surrender... is spot on when they profess...' And I hear the Lord say, surrender, you won't lose because I'm fighting for you...'

Jesus Christ would lay down His life for us over and over again.  But, the awesome thing is He only had to do it once and it was paid in full. We have nothing to lose but everything to gain when we choose Christ.
After we have decided to lay down the things of the world, yes it will seem difficult at times because the way of life is different to those in the world, but by our testimonies others become believers in the Great I Am as His love is displayed in us.

Yes, sometimes we will make mistakes and turn from what we profess to believe but Jesus Christ will always provide guidance and lead us back to the road we should walk.  The Lord rebukes and discipline those He love and just like a earthly father would pick up his young child when he falls, so Our Heavenly Father also pick us up... and when we do wrong He do not disown us but gently redirect us.

What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you, then, being evil [that is, sinful by nature], know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!” LUKE 11:11‭-‬13 AMP http://bible.com/1588/luk.11.11-13.AMP

Such an awesome God and good Father!
Each and every one of us will go through our own journey and walk our own path.
In a world of Snapchat and Selfies...  self-love and self-importance makes it difficult for submission.  Pride and arrogance also steps in as we believe we control our destinies.  This is false.  Take a look around you for a moment... their is life all around us and the Creator of this life, the world etc... Is not lesser then who we are.  We also have been created by the Extraordinary Creator.

Our Father created us in His image and gave us a will of our own.  Thus, He wants us to realize Who He is and who we are to Him.  He will not force us to surrender but I believe that maybe on a daily basis we would get the opportunity to do so.

In the beginning [before all time] was the Word ( Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being. In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].

#LoveTruth

Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, do you now believe? Blessed [happy, spiritually secure, and favored by God] are they who did not see [Me] and yet believed [in Me].”
